This is an instance where we’d do well to look backward for once. When something’s finally out, it’s old news. The video games machine has a tendency to be constantly forward-looking.
Also, King’s Quest Collection is again up for purchase. Somehow, whatever I do, I always see my dedicated server on the LAN network, and others cant connect (ofc. Police Quest Collection, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father, Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned, Quest for Glory Collection, Phantasmagoria, and Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh are now all available. Just today, a bunch of Sierra titles were added to Steam. Two years ago, the industry paid homage at the Video Game Awards by honoring Sierra co-founders Ken and Roberta Williams with the Industry Icon Award.Īnyone who missed out on some of these classics has an opportunity to right that wrong. To say that Sierra was influential would be to undersell it.
Many of the studio’s games had a lasting and formative effect on the developers of today. All throughout the ’80s and ’90s, Sierra Entertainment created some of the most revered adventure titles of all-time.
